Chambers leading Türkiye’s Energy transition with a focus on efficiency

June 11, 2025

From 11 to 13 June, 25 representatives from a variety of Turkish chambers gathered in Ankara for an in-person training under the TEBD II Energy Efficiency Support Programme. This three-day training, held at TOBB headquarters, marked a crucial step in equipping local chamber representatives with the tools and knowledge needed to support SMEs in reducing energy consumption and enhancing competitiveness.

Led by three experts from EU chambers, the training focused on the practical application of the TEBD II Energy Efficiency Toolkit developed by these experts. Participants explored proven methodologies and tools designed to establish synergies with other EU-funded projects, such as EE4SMEs, EE4HORECA, REEVALUE and the IMPAWATT platform, and gained hands-on experience in applying diagnostic checklists and mentoring techniques tailored to the Turkish SME landscape. The training also marked the launch of a national network of 25 “Energy Efficiency Ambassadors” from Turkish chambers, who will offer practical advice to businesses  to adopt energy-saving measures.
