Support Programmes
Capacity Building Activities for Turkish and EU Chambers include Chamber Academies, Study Visits, Acquis Spot-Checks, the Energy Efficiency Support Programme and Sustainable Growth Support Programme to enhance institutional skills and international cooperation.
Energy Efficiency
The “Energy Efficiency Support” aims at developing capacity and knowledge within Turkish chambers, which will allow them to advise SMEs/members on how they can reduce their energy consumption, and thus become more competitive and raise the awareness on Energy Efficiency. After the trainings, each Turkish Chamber commit to carry out at least 10 energy audit visits to selected Turkish companies with the support of experts, thus assessing their potential for effective reduction in energy consumption. Following the completion of the audits, an energy efficiency report will be drafted by the experts providing a comprehensive overview of the potential for further energy efficiency within Turkish companies and making recommendations for further action. The report will be distributed to Chambers, EUD, EC-DG NEAR, DEUA and other relevant stakeholders and Ministries.
Sustainable Growth
The Sustainable Growth Support Programme aims to enhance the capacity and knowledge of Turkish Chambers. The programme will empower them to offer guidance to SMEs and their members in embracing sustainability and the circular economy as a means of gaining a competitive edge within their value chains. Specifically, this service focuses on areas such as certification, circular skills, collaboration, reuse and recycling, and waste management for a circular economy.
EU Acquis
The Acquis audit tool kit, which was developed under previous programmes (ETCF I & II and TEBD), will be further developed with a sector-based approach and introduced to the Turkish Chamber Network.
