High Level Business Dialogue
The TEBD II High-Level Business Dialogue will bring together senior representatives from the EU and Turkish public and private sectors to analyse and discuss EU-Türkiye economic relations and explore ways to enhance cooperation.
Preferably, the dialogue will be organised as part of the EU-Türkiye High-Level Economic Dialogue (HLED). If HLED meetings are not held annually, TEBD II may also fund standalone or technical business dialogues. These events will be organised in close collaboration with EU and Turkish authorities, reflecting the spirit of previous HLED business community meetings, such as those in İstanbul (April 2016), Brussels (7–8 December 2017), and İstanbul (February 2019).
Under this project, two one-day TEBD II High-Level Business Dialogue meetings will be held: two in the EU (Brussels, 2025 and 2026), gathering on average 50 high-level representatives from chambers, business organisations, international financial institutions, policy makers, and companies from both regions. The objective is to draft recommendations from the business community (identified by TOBB and Eurochambres in consultation with the EUD/EC) and present them to policy makers to enhance economic and business cooperation, highlight opportunities and challenges, and contribute to the sustainability of EU-Türkiye business relations. Draft recommendations will be circulated to all participating organisations for consensus before submission.
Additionally, approximately three one-day business dialogue meetings with a broader participation of chambers, business communities, and public/EU institutions will be organised in both the EU and Türkiye. These sessions will foster synergy between chambers, international financial institutions, and EU/Turkish authorities, and provide a platform to discuss topics such as Customs Union modernisation or EU strategies and policies. Each event will host around 30 participants, including representatives from DEUA, EUD, EC, and other key stakeholders.
