
SME Workshops
This activity aims to reach out to the Turkish and EU chambers and business communities at local level, to increase their understanding on EU-Türkiye economic and trade relations, to increase awareness on the funding opportunities under EU framework programmes (Single Market, Digital Europe, Horizon Europe etc.) as well as to provide networking and partnership opportunities. 35 one-day physical or online SME Workshop in Türkiye and 5 in the EU will be organised by Turkish or European local, regional or national chambers.
The workshops will focus on the importance of the modernization/implementation of the Customs Union, EU Framework Programmes, EU Strategies in particular EU Green Deal, digitalisation, industrial strategies, circular economy, sectoral topics and the EU-Türkiye economic and trade relations including third countries. The specific topic(s) for each event will be determined by the local chamber reflecting specific areas and sectors of interest for that local business community.
SME Workshops in the EU
SME Workshops on EU Issues will engage Turkish and EU chambers and business communities at local level to deepen understanding of EU–Türkiye economic and trade relations and to raise awareness of EU funding opportunities (Single Market, Digital Europe, Horizon Europe, etc.) 5 SME workshops are planned in the EU.
SME Workshops in Türkiye
In total, 35 one-day workshops will be organised in Türkiye and 5 in the EU by local, regional or national chambers. Topics will include the Customs Union, EU Green Deal, digitalisation, industrial strategies, circular economy, and sectoral priorities, tailored to the host chamber’s local interests. Eurochambres and TOBB will jointly preselect 40 chambers (35 in Türkiye and 5 in the EU) through an expression of interest, and Eurochambres will designate the hosts in close cooperation with TOBB.

The conditions of SME Workshops

Each workshop shall last at least half a day and a maximum of one full day.

The target audience is local SMEs and members of the host chamber.

Each event shall ensure the participation of at least 20 SMEs.

The workshops should foster interactive discussions with SMEs on the chosen topic(s), generating policy recommendations and suggestions on how to improve EU–Türkiye economic and business relations.

One participant from the TEBD II Team will attend the event and present the TEBD II project.

The event shall fully comply with and respect the visibility rules of the European Union, in line with the Communication and Visibility Manual for EU External Actions.

Participant registration shall be completed by the host chamber prior to the event, and GDPR consent must be obtained during the registration.
