Before starting their field visits to 12–20 SMEs that they had selected on August, the newly appointed Energy Efficiency (EE) Ambassadors had the opportunity to ask final questions and clarify their approach. The event featured four experts: three international and one national. The online event included participation from TOBB and Eurochambres as well.

The discussions centred on the content of the TEBD II Energy Efficiency Toolkit, enriched with case studies, questionnaires, and checklists worth thousands of dollars. The goal was to equip ambassadors with practical tools and insights to support their recommendations and data analysis during SME visits.

Insights and Practical Tools for EE Ambassadors

During the webinar, EE Ambassadors received a comprehensive overview of their upcoming work with SMEs, presented by Asuman Sönmez, TEBD II Energy Efficiency Local Expert for Türkiye. The session introduced the adapted TEBD II Toolkit, led by Geoffrey Saliba, TEBD II Energy Efficiency International Expert, designed to guide ambassadors in their engagement with SMEs.

Istvan Szabo, TEBD II Energy Efficiency International Expert, demonstrated how to use the revised Menu Card (Checklist), while Geoffrey Saliba introduced the updated 2025 Questionnaire, both essential tools for effective SME visits.

The webinar also highlighted success stories from various sectors, including food production, metal fabrication, and hotels, presented by Claudia Julius, TEBD II Energy Efficiency International Expert. In addition, Geoffrey Saliba shared the REEValue Sammontana case study, illustrating practical applications of energy efficiency measures.

A dedicated Questions & Answers session allowed ambassadors to clarify doubts and discuss practical challenges.

Overall, the webinar provided EE Ambassadors with hands-on guidance and actionable tools to support SMEs in implementing energy efficiency measures and analysing the data collected during their site visits.
