A two-day training on final technical and financial reporting gave project partners practical guidance on compliance and grant management.

The training provided practical guidance on preparing final technical and financial reports in accordance with contractual requirements. It focused in particular on ensuring consistency between project implementation, reported results, financial records and supporting documentation targetting the lead beneficiaries and partners of the 17 grant scheme projects funded under TEBD II.

Key topics covered

  • Technical reporting, project results and the Logical Framework

  • Financial reporting, cost eligibility and budget management

  • Supporting documentation and compliance requirements

  • Final report preparation, financial templates and documentation

Addressing practical challenges

The sessions also offered an opportunity for interactive discussions on practical implementation challenges. Participants exchanged on budget management, contractual modifications, financial eligibility, cross-border documentation and partnership responsibilities.

Reporting starts during implementation

A key message throughout the training was that effective reporting begins during project implementation, not at the end of the project. Maintaining complete and well-organised records, monitoring expenditure, documenting changes and ensuring consistency between technical achievements and financial reporting are essential for sound grant management.

Strong partnerships, successful projects

The discussions also highlighted the importance of close coordination between Coordinators and Co-beneficiaries in ensuring effective project implementation and compliance with contractual requirements.

We would like to thank all participants for their engagement and valuable contributions.
