Delegates exchanged insights on how chambers across Europe can enhance competitiveness and cooperation through data-driven strategies and digital tools.

Over the following days, the delegation explored İzmir’s key innovation hubs, including entrepreneurship Centers, techno parks, and leading companies in the Atatürk Organized Industrial Zone. The participants observed concrete examples of Industry 4.0 applications, artificial intelligence integration, and sustainability-focused business models.

The study visit also included a meeting at the İzmir University of Economics, where discussions cantered on digital education, research innovation, and the role of women in technology. Delegates were particularly impressed by İzmir’s modern infrastructure, dynamic entrepreneurial spirit, and inclusive social environment.

By the end of the visit, participants agreed that İzmir stands out as a rapidly developing digital hub with strong potential for cross-border partnerships. The mission fostered new connections between European and Turkish business communities and laid the groundwork for future EU–Türkiye collaboration in digital transformation and sustainable growth.
